On April 8th, a groundbreaking ceremony marked the beginning of construction for the Azure Tower in Flushing, Queens, New York. This mixed-use project, designed by Akaia, drew together executives from the owner, investors, community leaders, and project team members to celebrate the launch of the building process.

 

Kai Sheng, founder and president of Akaia Architecture (AA), delivered the keynote speech, emphasizing the project's vision to establish a landmark and vibrant hub in the center of Flushing. Mr. Sheng highlighted the transformative potential of the Azure Tower and its significant role in shaping the future of the neighborhood.

 

The Azure Tower aims to redefine Flushing’s skyline through its innovative design and strategic engagement with the city, promoting meaningful interactions with surrounding communities. With construction now in progress, the completion of the Azure Tower is anticipated by the end of 2025.
