Hyun Yu has practiced architectural design for over 25 years, including 10 years at Archilier Architecture, covering a wide range of work from boutique design projects to large-scale master plans. Hyun leads AKAIA design teams in developing innovative and effective design solutions for complex programs. He is passionate about the intersection of architecture and the local community, its culture and social environment, and how the built environment supports and fosters community. Hyun studies urban design at Hongik University in Korea and earned a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
